NT Resources Week

The Northern Territory’s (NT) largest industry exhibition combining the South East Asia Australia Offshore and Onshore Conference (SEAAOC), Mining the Territory, and Building the Territory is taking place this week.

The conference is a great opportunity to showcase the Territory’s mining, oil, gas and construction opportunities and capacity.

It also provides local industry an opportunity to connect with their national and international counterparts to discuss new trends and upcoming opportunities across these sectors.

The NT is endowed with a wide range of mineral commodities, including world-class deposits of manganese on Groote Eylandt, bauxite at Gove, lead-zinc-silver at the McArthur River, uranium at Ranger Mine and gold at Callie in the Tanami.

The NT also contains significant deposits of copper, phosphate, iron ore, lithium, vanadium, diamonds and rare earths, and has producing offshore and onshore oil and gas fields.

In recent years the NT has established its position as a major national and international player with significant investment through INPEX’s Ichthys LNG project, ConocoPhillip’s Darwin LNG project and the operations base for Shell’s Prelude Floating LNG.

The NT Government is supporting a designated service and supply display booth to allow NT based small and medium enterprises the opportunity to showcase their goods and services.
