Do you keep chickens in your backyard?
If you keep livestock on your block or in your backyard, you need to register for a Property Identification Code (PIC). A PIC is a free registration code that identifies the property where your livestock are kept.
Livestock includes cattle, buffalo, horses (including mules and donkeys), bison, pigs, poultry, deer, llamas, alpacas, camels, emus and ostriches, sheep, goats and beehives.
Even if they are pets, located on a house or rural block, whether it's one or more, it is a mandatory requirement for owners of an identifiable property with livestock to have a PIC registered for that parcel of land/property.
Help keep your livestock safe in the event of a disease outbreak, bushfire or animal emergency, and register today.
Registering for a PIC is easy and free, register online.
