Water infrastructure rebate now available to NT producers
Territory primary producers can now apply for a rebate when purchasing water infrastructure.
The money has been made available to Territorians from the Australian Government’s $50 million Australian Government On-farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme.
Eligible NT recipients will receive a 25% rebate for up to $25,000 per annum to purchase and install emergency water infrastructure.
Primary producers can apply for the rebate for costs associated with purchasing and installing on-farm water infrastructure to manage animal welfare requirements and improve drought resilience.
The scheme will support producers experiencing drought conditions to construct new livestock watering facilities such as bores, piping, tanks, troughs, pumps and fittings.
Department of Primary Industry and Resources industry support officers can assist primary producers complete an application form so their eligibility can be assessed.
