Primary producers, investors and researchers are being invited to register for the Climate and Carbon in Agriculture Conference 2020 taking place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 31 March and 1 April 2020.

The conference, hosted by the Climate Research Strategy for Primary Industries (CRSPI), will address topics such as:

  • how the industry can work towards ‘net zero’ emissions
  • climate adaption
  • international perspectives on climate change
  • and updates on the latest research, development and extension projects.

Dr Jason Crean, New South Wales Department of Primary Industries Director of Climate said that the conference will consider how a changing climate translates for agricultural business.

“Our changing climate presents a range of challenges and opportunities for Australian primary industries, and the most effective response includes coordinated research, development and extension across sectors and regions. We will showcase what is already being done by producers, some of the tools already available for businesses to use to adapt to climate and reduce emissions, as well as sharing some of the innovations in the pipeline.”

“We encourage all producers, researchers, policy makers, service providers and students to mark this important conference on their calendar,” Dr Crean said.
