Animal Welfare Fund grant program applications open

Published

Applications are now open for animal welfare organisations to apply for animal welfare grants.

Applications are now open for the Animal Welfare Fund (AWF) grant program for organisations that offer valuable animal welfare initiatives right across the Northern Territory (NT).

The NT Government is committed to the health, welfare and safety of animals.

The annual grant program supports local organisations to expand, offer more services or provide better access to services, particularly in remote communities. The grants can be used for a range of services to improve animal wellbeing, raise community awareness of animal owner responsibilities and assists in improving animal management practices.

The 2020-21 grant program totals $100,000 with a maximum grant available for any project up to $50,000. There are two tiers of funding that organisations can apply for – small grants up to $10,000 and large grants up to $50,000.

There is no limit to the number of applications allowed per organisation. Applications close Friday 17 July 2020.
